Raiden Starshroud was born into a once-noble family despised for tragedies long past.  To regain his honor, he must face his first dungeon alone and earn his class as an Arcane Knight.  More than dungeon monsters await him. New horrors lurk in the Kingdom of Hallgram. An evil so powerful the gods were forced to break the universe and flee now returns.  The Abyss. In the deepest depths of the dungeon, Raiden uncovers a secret long buried. A God Splinter.  A fragment of an unknown god’s soul.  It offers power beyond mortal limits. Its price: an oath.  Raiden must accept this new strength and become Splinterbound to fight the forces of the Abyss. Should he fail or let the Abyss corrupt him, the cost will be everything.  With the power of the God Splinter and his new class, he joins a squad of knights sworn to defend the kingdom. Raiden’s heritage has already cast a shadow over him, and having a splinter of a god’s power is a secret not easily shared.  As the evil unravels piece by piece, a question remains: Will Raiden trust his squadmates with the secret of the God Splinter — or face the Abyss alone?
